Jewelweed & Bee
The bees really love this pink Jewelweed. Hummers love it too.

Didn't know jewelweed came in pink, I've only seen the wild orange type!

I'm sorry Amy, I forget that you don't have hummers in the UK. It's just short for hummingbird.
Grammazoo I didn't know about the pink either until an internet friend in Canada sent in pics of hers and then we traded seeds. I have the wild Spotted Jewelweed here (orange) and also the Pale Jewelweed (yellow) and now I have light and medium pink !

Wow...now there is a lovely bonus!...like Grammazoo I had only seen the orange. Used to grow profusely around the old chicken house!! It is a wild branch of the impatiens isn't it?...or is it begonia?...the stems are almost translucent in strong direct light, like the impatiens and very succulent almost mushy when the stems are picked by little hands who tend to hold too tightly. really sparked a memory, Di.Well, serendipity is in the air today!...Check out a June 25 pic posted by Blodyn of Impatiens niamniamensis...

Yes, Lori, it's in the impatien family. And thanks so much for informing me about Blodyn's Impatiens niamniamensis pic. I just went and had a look. I LOVE it ! I WANT it !! LOL ! My favorite colors. I've never seen anything like it.
Glad it sparked a good childhood memory.
