Mimulus ("Monkey Flower") var. "Magic Rainbow"

Mimulus (

These annuals have gone onto my "must-have" list from now on. I can't stop running out to look at them. They are so well-named, too. Every colour of the rainbow (apart from blue).

Love all the colour variety. Looks like Mother Nature just went mad, flinging paint from her brushes over them all!

Hi David, these look very exotic & eye catching, did you sow from seed or are they plant plugs

I grew them from seed, but actually did so too early. But I have another packet so will grow some more soon. Definitely worth the "effort". I saw them as plug plants, too, at Thompson & Morgan, I think it was.

Really nice shot.., one of the few flowers that will bloom within about six weeks from the day you sewed the seeds. You can almost see them growing.!

Yes, Fl. Every day, the stems get thicker and longer, and the flowers grow bigger, too. The growing instructions on the seed packet did not state how quickly they flowered from sowing date. But am enjoying the early colour.

I'm envious, Weemammabell - such lovely flowers appearing by themselves. I think that I'll be having these on my list from now on, too.

Dave I love the colours in these ones. Some look like they have paint splattered on them.
