many thanx, folks. I always wanted a pic of one of my favourite plants - glad you like it, too.

We had the wild flower specie of the dicentra blooming in the woods when I was a kid...they liked the rocky areas near an oak woods...they are very short...only 6 inches tall with ferny leaves and only one spathe of white flowers per plant...we called them "Dutchman's Breeches" cause they looked like white bloomers on a clothesline! We never heard of political correctness in those days.

Lori, it is sometimes referred to here under that name, too. Why choose Dutch, tho, I wonder?

something to do with CLEAN ...you know, the white caps the women wore! Dutch cleanser...they even scrub the streets beside the canals!
Great country, the Netherlands... I have a powerpoint presentation that a friend forwarded to me of the Keukenhof gardens...just amazing.. imagine a woodland planted with a stream of muscari running through it!
they also have a Japanese garden ...just AMAZING.
