This going to be splendid Mike for some reason ours does not have many flower heads on this year..

How long have you had the bush Bonkers ? It does take about three years before they really flower. They also like acid fertilzer.

Its very old Mike ..here at the cottage when we moved in flowered well last year , healthy leaf but few flower florets would fertilizer encourage flowering ?

A good fertilizing can't hurt Bonkers. I would feed it on the first of the month each month through September. Have you ever fertilized it ? Could be what it needs.
