About me

I live in San Diego, CA. about 9 miles inland from Downtown. My climate is subtropical and and my garden rarely experiences temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit and is frost-free. I'm located on a south facing mesa at about 460 feet elevation. I grow Mangos, Papayas, Plumerias, Delonix regia (Royal Poincianas), African Tulip trees and many species of rare palms and many other tropical plants. Temperatures in winter range from min. 40 - 90 degrees F. max. Summer min 68 - 100 max (sometimes higher - 105 or 106 degrees Fahrenheit during heat-waves)

I wanted to add -- I do have a fairly comprehensive knowledge of tropical plants...from personal experience and formal education.

I also belong or belonged to many plant societies over the last 24+ years.
