Poor birds

Well this morning after waking up to a hard frost :( I looked outside to see the birds foraging around in the garden.
Jenny was getting bored by Star Wars – again :O so I had a look through my store cupboard, the place where opened dry foods are kept and sometimes forgotten! I found about 7 different packets of seeds and nuts and some half used Suet that went out of date at the beginning of the year! In my fridge I had been putting off the task of scraping used fat out of a jar, but I melted it down and mixed all the nuts and suet together, found some cake cases and string and Jenny and I made some feeders for the birds
We will string them up when they are set and I’ll photograph the birds, if they are attracted by all of my ingredients!

Brill! What a great way to use up cupboard "leftovers", feed the birds and, hopefully, get some gr8 pics. Bet you had fun, too!

The force was obviously with your young Padawan when making these :o )
Lets hope the birds enjoy them as much

Padawan, no chance. My Jenny is the biggest fan of Darth Vader. I even caught her saying 'Luke, I am your father' to a bagel the other day! When they had a dress up day for Christmas this year my little horror went dressed as the Dark Lord, red light sabre and all, mask cape and black outfit. All the other little girls were all dressed as princesses and our Jenny Wren went walking in causing alarm and surprise and a few laughs from the assistants. She is a little character, bless :)

Read that and hahahaha'd for 5 minutes. Brilliant - you go for it Jenny Wren!

How wonderful to have an individual who knows her own mind instead of a girly Barbie-obsessed princess!!! Thanks for cheering me up! :-)

As long as she doesn't turn into a Goth then that's ok :)
We were in Camden Market a couple of weekends ago and she was fascinated by the 'characters' walking around
