Well boys, what a fantastic idea this new calendar, but it just goes to show how busy i’m going to be over the next few months.
Planting seeds…...................indoors and outdoors, I’m going to try the Victorian cottage garden method of interplanting veg with normal plants, particularly carrots and beets, maybe the odd runner beans.
Pricking out, potting on then planting in my containers for some sun hot tomatoes (yellow and red tumbling tom). The tomato seeds seem to be surviving so succession so far
I’ve just bought 10 – £1 terracotta pots from B&Q to house my strawberries which will be on the upright sleepers and the trellis I’ve just had erected.
The potatoes are going in huge vertical growing sacks which I bought online, my seed potatoes are chitting and will be ready to plant in March. I just popped some courgette seeds in pots and the carrots are starting to grow up nicely!!! That is everything apart from the other plants in the garden.
I have a load of ash in the bottom of my burner, which veg is keen on ash in the soil?
