Thank you Andybt for your comments. I too have smaller specimens in pots (each about 2ft. high) Your pruning regime sounds very scary, but I'll try it next spring. My plant also gets burnt at the the tips but it does regenerate. Do you add any fertiliser to your plant? If so, what? All I've ever given mine is the occasional Phostrogen.
