That’s pretty spectacular! Are the trees still on Winton St by the Hayward school district buildings by Santa Clara St?

No,they were cut down and something replaced them. Maybe it was Crape Myrtles. Those pods must have been too messy falling all over the concrete plaza.
But,Alvarado in Union city has a quite a few with Jacaranda's on the same street. I got lucky to catch this one in peak bloom on Mission Blvd..

That’s a shame! I remember those trees were planted around 1982 or 83 when it wasn’t such a common tree there.

On my next visit to The SF Bay Area, I must go see them.

How striking is this! Gorgeous looking tree. Looks on fire!

I was driving by from two blocks away and it shockingly stood out. Had to make a U turn and take a pic.
