Hi everyone!
i have just bought a selection on tulip bulbs, im wondering if anyone has any tips for the best way to plant them (they are for my pots) any secret tips to make them grow healthy. And what goes nice with them, trailing?

Hi there! I'd suggest you hang onto them for now and pot them up early November. I read that recently in my gardening mag. Daffs can go in now but best to wait to plant tulips.

Hi Kelf welcome to goy .Depends what colour you have as to choice of companion .You considered layering bulbs small dwarf iris then narcissus then tulips at bottom to give a succession of bulbs ?

You also asked for trailing companions - Ivy is the obvious one, but how about planting some evergreen grasses - like Festuca glauca (greeeny-blue)Carex or Uncinia (orangey - brown) with your bulbs? They don't trail, exactly, but they do set the bulbs off well and they wave about over the edge of the pots!

How do I say thanks?
