I just harvested a yellow carrot amongst my regular orange ones - can I eat it?

It might be pithy and tasteless try it and see is what I would do.

Carrots come in lots of colours we are simply used to seeing orange ones

Yes, it's just a throwback in colour. They used to be yellow.

Yes I know that now - didn't before though - it certainly made the dinner more colourful!
