I have just started to enjoy gardening and decided recently to start a vegetable patch in my garden, iam now ready to harvest a small selection of the vegetables but discovered a huge amount of red ants, are they a problem and how do i get rid of them? Thank you for your help in this matter

If they are getting in your way (biting) and nesting under your plants' roots, they can kill the plants by disturbing the roots. I will tell you what other members told me last year - buy 'Ant Traps' from most Garden Centres/Supermarkets and place them where the ants are mostly seen. They work!

Yes i agree ive been bothered by ants for 3 years in and out of house. I placed ant trap near front door after 3 days all ants have vanished cant believe how well they work.
