Beautiful sight.....I see WWT Martin Mere are offering a romantic Valentine night experience with a difference....Strolling through the grounds by lantern light to experience the haunting sound and romantic sight of over 1500 Whooper Swans on the Mere and afterwards a delicious 3 course meal in the new Mere Side Cafe....Sounds right up your street Muddy....:>)

I have photographed these birds sooo many times at Martinmere but this one is stuning in its simplicity. Excellent detail and exposure with a nicely composed flock. Brilliant work, love it!

This photo was taken at a nature reserve developed by Peter Scott in Lancashire, England. Whooper Swans, Geese and Ducks come to spend the Winter here in their thousands. A wonderful experience to see and hear.
