im only generalising here but generally whats above the ground with a plant is also below . I have know doubt it would go every wear were it not for your patio . I just cant see such a fine plant getting any further than wear it is really as it hasn't gone up the walls either . it wont damage the patio I doubt . the only thing that could happen is bio degradable stuff collects under it and gives it more purchess on your patio . id do what the experts have said but in the mean time if its longer than you like trim it back . after all a weed is a plant in the wrong place .

well if you can that's better le but my ponds 2000 gallons but it doesn't leek and I hardly have to touch it . my 200 gallon fish tank how ever I cant put rain water in and have been doing a third tank water changes for at least 30 years every month without fail . my gourami is 2 feet long and I have an 18" catfish and many others and there all fine .

its not silly at all . there are fish that spend the first part of there life as males and over a certain size become female . if you change the water tempreture too quickly in a fish tank sword tails can change sex . as said most plants are man made as are dogs and many farm animals . they can always revert back . my acer tree always pushes big dark gren leaves and branches out that I have to cut off so it doesn't take over . goldfish change colour during there life quite often . you've only got to find some common land near you to see what actually thrives in your area and it wont look a bit like most gardens .

they wouldn't give it to humans if it had too much dangerous things in it really . your supposed to collect rain water or buy special water for monthly water changes in a fish tank but for over 30 years every month I take a third out and put tap water directly in its place . not a problem .

ok fare enough then choosing 4 is the best idea then .

have you got enough friends that understand your dilemma ? maybe you could explain when rehoming them . I know with tropical fish if you want a pair ie male and female keeping 3 gives you a really high chance of getting both . if you had a similer amount of both id keep 4 trees and take it from there .

I think it looks amazing and more importantly helping lots of important insects and wild life . have you thought about getting a hive ? it would be awesome .
