not realy ant powder shouldnt hurt your grass though i know its not natural.just be thankfull there not fire ants yet lol.

get a net over it is the best way.keep it pruned so the cherries are in reach to be easier to put the net over it to.

ow yes check out my web site lots of interesting art www.noseypotter.com

thats not nice lol

well i would get an alround couple of grow bags or some topsoil and make some pockets for other plants that dont like clay.unless allen titshmarsh is wrong ofcourse.you can have the best of bothe worlds.if your soil is realy heavy clay its possible you could dig a natural pond that keeps itself filled and have even more plant types and wildlife

if you mean monkey puzzle tree as im dyslexic and cant remember latin names apart from seraslam natari = red belly pirahna and orcas orca = killer wale lol no good in this case lol .theres a great site called www.floraselect.co.uk they are very reasnable to i thaught .

On question - My palm is yellow

maybe a water feacture and some big to huge rocks.i know there a bit pricey but have you sean those seats at the garden centres made out of 3 boulders .there minimulistic and as they are millions of years old will last

On question - how to display a pagoda

its ok in the sun or shade though in the sun it can get brown tinges.most importent is to put it somewear shelterd from wind etc

On question - acer brilliantissimum

i know its a pain but i would bight the bullet and dig some sand and decent top soil in.even if you do pockets of good soil for the individual plant.

after the plants died back and well after flowering unless you want the small new potatoes for salad.you could move a bit of soil near a plant and have a look and put the soil back afterwoulds

sounds more like the opersit and its to dry.a photo would be great

On question - banana plant musa basjoo

i believe you can leave the potatoes in the ground well after the plants have died as they wont shoot till next spring

On question - Potatoes

not easy im afraid.people who just bury it with the misinformation of garden centres are in for a shock.you could do the elbow grease thing, very hard work.i put some in a raised planter near my planter.very atractive i thaught.it started cracking it so i cut it right down to nothing.this didnt work so i took away the sunlight ie used black polythene.this didnt work very quickly anyway.i poured copias amounts of boling water over it ,loads of salt and still coverd it.this eventualy worked after about 2 years.i couldnt with my bad back dig the dead stump for want of a better word out so i built a sculpture over it.i would get a pick axe ,normal axe buy your mates some lager or wine and have a dig your bamboo out party.sorry there is no easy serlution.

On question - how do i kill bamboo

i thaught the manky stuff was good for your plants .i water my plants with my tank and pond water then top them up works a treat.
