hello lincslass

your grand daughter has great potential and everything is in the right place . what really shines the most in her art is her cartoon surreal art it really is quite special . remember always date the art even on the back with the year on the front . you can then see wear you've been and wear your going . never think that will do because it never will . always be your own best critic and look for what you don't like as aposed to what you do like about a picture . in the start the basic shading is in blocks and the best way to see that is to squint your eyes . this takes everything out of focus but the basic shading . never see the end of a drawing and always take a break if you don't feel like it anymore or you cant get in the zone . its better having a break than messing a picture up . stand right back and look from a distance . look in a mirror as you see whats wrong if it looks wrong in reverse . the art is all in perspective so a great
foundation for a great potential artist . of course the computers a great resourse . also look at other artists especialy art you aspire too . what I mean by this is if you want to get better at chess you play someone better than you not worse . I never think I cant do better . its very good and I hope this is a realistic review if you like unbiastly . try different art including pottery , cake decoration and even maybe flower arranging . it is all about keeping your eyes open . photography with a reasonable camera is also good . don't waste a talent by not actually knowing what your niche is . im not a cartoonist but I can manage one . having an eye and relaying that image you want through your fingers is what you want . get a big drawing board or two . there cheap now that computers are doing a lot of graphics . get larger paper than you imagine your picture to be . you can cut it down but you cant add bits of paper . I hope this makes sense and remember I wouldn't scratch wear you itch if asked my opinion .

unless you have them in pots and the ants have nested in them .

well I guess time will tell melch perhaps you could be my first client lol .

yes I have . I made a half size bull elephant and a leopard lazing in a tree but im going to start making smaller more affordable one offs .thanx melch .

its the void that that makes a perfect home for rats so if you want to feed birds then you will be best making a concrete deck . your welcome .

moles for sure

On question - Random piles of soil

thanx sbg at least I recycled it .

ow im going to put a pot on top for sure

salt works well and washes away harmlessly as long as you don't want anything there for a while .

I mean a concrete pad with hard core under it and just pretty the top up .

I have an ornimentle grapevine that grows really big with huge leaves and looks lovely .

why don't you have 6" cement deck instead and have a nice surface put on it . theres lots of bricks, slabs etc you can use on top . you have a frame your asking for trouble .
