My daughter lives in bedfordshire she has Ivy growing up a south facing wall, this year it has been infested with very tiny black bugs, which are multiplying fast, what do you think they are and how do I treat them?

d get the ivy off before it starts destroying the house and the other problem will end anyway .

Sounds like aphids if they are increasing fast. I have seen them on ivy but they don't do much harm. Blast them off with a pressure washer?
