Well Np another triumph. Your Orangutan with baby is beautiful, and as for your boots, well you'll be smelling of roses with every step you take. Really great.

Nice one Nosey.
Amy/Catfinch: I think its wonderful what you did with your loved ones ashes.
I did the same with my Dad's - well, lets just say he's always in the garden with me, which was his garden for 40 years - his favourite place :-)

I know we are supposed to be more receptive to such things as children but as we lose it in mid life (probably too busy!) I think it seems to return as we get older :)

I believe this too Leigh..I think it is so beautiful...

Aster it is amazing..but not surprising to me, love is one of those bits of energy that goes on forever and does not lose it's strength. My daughter was very surprised and happy when she saw it..she actually pointed it out to me first. We were walking together and climbed up to the top at the same time, she turned around before me to look back at the water...and there it was... I had been waiting for something to come to me from that beautiful, loving energy of his..it always does...

Lovely story NP, it was meant to be :) Those trees should be huge before your plans are realised :))
CatF I had an involuntary shudder when I read your story ! What are the chances of you coming across the beach with those words still present ? It really is amazing how things come together xx

Yes hummers love sweet nectar for sure...and yes you and Mel have tied the knot..lol..happy for you...xx

:) we had sunshine here today...I took my dogs for a walk ..and I saw the first hummingbird of the year! I took pictures..maybe I will manage to put one on GOY...

I tossed my husbands ashes into a winter wind that was at my back, on a Christmas morning by myself. The wind carried the ashes across the beach, and on into the Straits. The place was where he liked to drive to and sit to watch the ships and the eagles and the wind. He had often talked about scattering his mother ashes there...I took his mothers ashes that he had still and put them with his then scattered them together there....
Later in the year, my daughter and I took a walk on that same beach. I walked up to where I had stood that Christmas morning. Someone had written on the beach where the ashes had flown across. "I love you"....it had almost been washed away and looked like a gift from the sea...

I know it Busylizzy , I pass it everytime I go into Norwich that way , it looks very peaceful and pleasant .......

It was lovely to see both you and Mel Leigh ... you are welcome anytime you know that ... x I have scattered both my Fathers and my brothers ashes in places that I shouldn't have done without permission ...!

There is a wood on the outskirts of Norwich where you can go to be laid to rest - no headstones or monoliths - just beautiful trees and nature all around.

People should be able to have their final wishes honoured as long as they hurt no-one.
A friend of mine died and his widow and I scattered his ashes at the entrance of the local British Legion club in the hope that anyone entering would also take a little piece of Geoff into his favourite watering hole. Obviously we told no-one at the time.

well nosey i thought a bit morbid at first but once i read it all i thought it was a lovely thing to do, dont go yet though lol, lovely pics to ;o))

Thats a lovely idea.. when my Grandad died I took his ashes up to a nature reserve only to be told you are not allowed to spread ashes in a public place - but my Pop loved it up there and had spread my Nan's ashes there 20 years ago - so one quiet Sunday morning Pop and a tesco recycling bag (well we had to put him in something!!! - he would have curled up laughing - warped sense of humour!!) went where my Nans ashes had been put and there was a tree growing so we spread Pop around the tree (keeping an eye out for warden/dog walkers!!) - as my son and i walked back down the path a warden was just parking his car!! I like to think my Pop is back where he wanted to be!!

What a briliant idea .. I love the way the branches have intertwined , almost as though they somehow knew the reasons behind it ... you have many happy years to go yet Leigh and Mel ... enjoy it while you may .. :o))

Its so unusual for a young couple like yourselves to think about death,
but it all sounds wonderful the way you have expressed it to us.

The branches are amazing! the way they have twined together.

Love the picture of your family of dogs they are gorgeous!!!
