I've just finished watching your video and love all the changes you've made I especially like the ground works they are stunning ... A grand tour, with some things I hadn't seen before - makes up for not being able to attend in person! Its good to know it was such a success - everything shipshape and even the tree man had had a haircut!

I've been watching out for this blog, Leigh! I'm so glad the Open Gardens day was such a success. You had a lot of visitors! Your garden looks fantastic - I bet they were impressed, and amazed if they hadn't seen it before. Now you can spend some time relaxing on that sofa! ?

well done, this is brilliant. I learnt to weld when I was a teenager. My brother was a welder too and I well remember the flash and the state of his eyes afterwards. UV burns to the cornea. But he soon learnt to use a mask/goggles. They came in useful to look at the last eclipse.

Now that's one thing I could teach you!

Gosh Leigh, is there anything you can't turn your hand to? Your gate is amazing. There's a different view down the garden from what I've seen before - no idea the concrete fence was as long as that. It looks fantastic and so unusual. Wish i could get to your open day - hope it all goes really well.

Brilliant ! I used to be a welder until I hurt my eyes.
Quite enjoyed doing it.
Always use protective goggles, they are much better now.
