Np its absolutely brilliant , when finished and lit up at night with water coming out it will be excellent , were you self taught with this kind of art ? it is really impressive.

looks great nosey.. cant wait to see it spouting water

Impressive, Nosey. I'll look forward to seeing the completed piece. If it's anything like your fence, I'll be even more impressed, lol.

Look forward to seeing water coming out of it's mouth/beak.

NP.....you look exactly like an angel in the one pic....you can fair see your halo shining away. :oD

I love the design...the wings fit perfectly with the shape.

I often think that some of the most striking inks are done in black and white - that I have seen...you're right, it's always roses and alot of water lilies too...would like to see a columbine or something captured...something unusual..

Hi NP! Sooooo sorry to be late, yep, I'll try to do that too! I must admit, some latin names I don't know the common name to, but I'll find out for you! xoxo

Sbg, what a giggle!! You handled that well!! Where I used to work, there was a cream bun with icing on, that everyone called the same unfoodlike name!!

On question - hello everyone

oh no i love the chimeneya...cant u mend it...its one of my favorites...;-((
our dogs have been killing the moles but make bigger holes than the moles...lol
last night reggie was out for ages, he hunts the fields around us. blodwyn just barks and runs back to me if she sees anything.

my garden us never finished and on open day any weeds left have turned into wild flowers...lol

well its sure comming on now NP. love the angel/devil pose...lol

Most animals are better than most people Nosey. Animals tell you no lies and let you know exactly where you stand. May animals survive long after humans are gone.

they say every tattoo weaves the fabric of one's life - the idea of capturing a flower is very cool.....

Its looking great.

Looking good NP what an angel ! LOL

Help yourself to any of my pics if they're any good NP. You are certainly a very talented artist - I have trouble with a stick-man! I'll stick to gardening I think.

Did you know that most common English plant names were invented by the Victorians? (especially the group of poets and writers often referred to as the Ruskin group).
I thnk I will carry on with the Latin names as I have more idea what they are than soi dit common names.

On question - hello everyone

I sympathise, Noseypotter, but common names are just not common. As a simple example take the bluebell.
In England this is a blue bulbouse flower (Hyacinthoides non-scripta) found in woodlands and just starting to flower now.
In Scotland the bluebell is a campanula (Campanula rotundifolia)(harebell in England) which grows in grassland and flowers in summer.
The latin names are universal whilst common names can even change from village to village.
I will try to remember to add a common name if the latin is not obvious.

On question - hello everyone

Most people know more Latin names than they think they do - narcissus, rhododendron, chrysanthemum, geranium, aubretia, crocus, cyclamen, iris, gladiolus, hydrangea to name but a few. And if you learn just two more every week, that's another hundred by the end of the year. Stick with it np, it will pay off in the long run
