Rain, Rain...don't go away - please stay another day !

Yay for the rain…my poor gasping garden is desperately in need of every drop.

Flowers look so pretty with droplets of water on them, so much so that I went and got wet to take some pictures :)

I love my agapanthus.

I painted the wall behind it a soft cream to show the dark green stem and the evolving blue to purple flowers. I’m looking forward to seeing it in full bloom

This is a rose that my mum have me, it smells beautiful !the raindrops look like little diamonds.

This little cosmos is tucked in a raised bed at the back of my pondlette, it gets enough water in this rain without drowning its delicate petals

I am looking forward to this weekend when i can get out and have a little tidy up, until then I will be having my first rainy hot tub tonight. Thankfully its in its own little spa room.

:)

My garden too was desperate for the rain and I was hoping for more too! It's always worth going out to look after the rain, you can almost hear them sighing in relief. Sadly that also applies to the slugs who love fresh new growth.
Good for you taking the time to and pleasure in the little things in life, dewdrops and such like. The rose is lovely and will always remind you of your Mum, much better than a bunch of flowers. Don't get water-logged in the hot tub.

We've had lovely gentle rain all day - so very much needed, though Honeysuckle adds a touch of realism re the slugs...
Nice to see a pic of the newly pink hair NAT!

We too had rain here both Monday and Tuesday and it was much needed. All my water butts are now full again and no need to get the hose out :-). So have you decided on what the next colour you will put on your hair lol.

Lol, having dark hair I couldn't do that and think I'm getting a bit too old :-). So which of us are you going to blame lilac on lol, I've got a lilac in my garden :-) Jen

NAT: Have a look at some of the flower images I am going to post . Would love to see your hair in those colours!

Had quite heavy rain one night. Damaged a gazebo (posh tent) we had up in the garden so we dismantled that this morning and have sent away for another. Trees and shrubs and flowers did look fresher.
