This site rocks! I have been on the net since the early days of CompuServe at 1200kbs download speeds on a dial-up modem and have seen the net blossom over the years. For the longest time, I was obsessed with computers and places like “Myspace” which I no longer frequent. THIS SITE brings a whole new “niche”
to the computer.. Combine gardening with “social networking”! Brilliant! My compliments to the Chef that created this site!

My new passion is PLANTS! They are the coolest life-form on the planet and finally give me a hobby that I will NEVER figure out! Anyone that works with plant life on a serious level will tell you the same thing. The more that you research, the less that you know.. {chuckle}

I just LOVE how complex plants are and how they interact with all of our lives!
OK, Enough with this worthless rant….. Enjoy those gardens out there!

BTY: get a load of this area! Absolutely stunning!

WOW! n2 that is a stunning shot, can I ask where it is, and from where taken?
I agree GoY is very entertaining the best networking site by miles, and with the best members too.

Pleased to hear you think so highly of GoY. We are so terrific, it hurts...LoL.
Brilliant photo, wherever it is. You could sell framed prints of that, make a packet and buy more plants. Yeah?

I was so pleased to find this site a few months ago. I can chat about plants all day long & I love reading about other people's plants/gardens/lives! I hadn't thought about GoY being a "social networking" kind of place but I guess you're right!

I also love to upload my photos of plants I grow instead of just keeping them on the computer & I really love seeing other people's plants.

Your photo of the double rainbow is really fantastic, never seen a photo like it before!

So glad your new "hobby" is plants - though it won't be a "hobby" for long .... it'll be your life!!!! Lol!

If I remember correctly, this photo was one that I grabbed as a screen-saver and is a view of an area in Scotland
The old looking river and "aqua-duct" were a dead give-a-way.

Such beautiful country! :-).

And I agree with everyone, This site is the "Mecca" for plant and gardening folks. I don't have as many plants as some of our members, but I care for the ones that I have like a "pet".
Even the smallest ones get the full organic treatment and are given the absolute best shot at growing and looking well..
It is SO cool to see a little plant thrive and take off! I have a small fern that that my wife bought and I've watched it grow in a special organic mix for the last few weeks and the little guy is one HAPPY CAMPER! The new growth is so heavy that it cannot support it! I'll have to post some photos.

Gotta love it!

Ah you tricked us, I thought it was somewhere in U.S.A. :o)) Yes Scotland is beautiful and I would buy my retirement home there anyday. Also the Lakedistrict in Cumbria is spectacular for weather, we were at lake Coniston one year and just a few feet away from us was a wall of rain and we never got a bit wet, that was weird.

Hi, so glad that you love GOY, as do myself and my kids!

I never cease to be amazed by the fact that my posted questions, pics, etc., produce immediate results. I use the "My Garden" section to keep my pics as "albums".

I do live in Scotland - a small, but beautiful, country, lol!

I also find that my love of gardening extends into a great many other "areas", such as history, archaeology, cookery, art, weather, etc, etc. etc. And, am loving using it to teach my kids!

I am always in awe of the material being produced here on GrowsonYou!

Regards,

- David
