Cats in bliss!

I know… Long time-no post, right? What can I say, everything is dormant for the winter.. :-)
The cats aren’t though!
My wife moved a blanket to keep the cats from sleeping on it and look what happened:

Little Isabelle discovered the blanket thrown over the 100 year old rocker that sits about 5 feet from the fireplace and claimed it…

Isabelle always offers “help” when I’m building a fire in the fireplace and we have nick-named her the “pyro kitty”, because she loves being around a warm fire. :-)

Of course, shortly before all of this took place, Smokey-boy and Trouble Had claimed their area on the couch:

Those two boys have become the best “cuddle critters” that you can imagine whenever the fire is going. They will often bathe each-other when lying around and cuddle together near the fire. That’s ’ma boys!

Our other friends in the back yard are doing well and Mr. Cardinal was looking quite nice up in the hackberry tree last weekend:

I have also started some watermelon seeds from the last surviving melon out of my patch. It survived the first frost and I cut it open, saved the seeds for next summer and the babies have broke ground in their pot that I have in the office near the window this weekend!
It made my day and was the best birthday present ever! (my b-day was this weekend.. old fart of 54 yrs.):

Wow, what more can I say? Life is GOOD!
Take care GOY friends!
