Bloody Weather!

Well the two beds are still sitting totally devoid of seeds… last week the weather was super and we had thought to start sowing. Then we saw the forecast for this week and rapidly changed our minds. Rain, sleet, hail and snow showers have battered us and the garden along with gale force winds. That’s what comes of trying to grow crops in the north of Scotland!

Below is the chart for growing by the moon in the first half of April… remember it is in BST so if you live elsewhere you will need to convert the times :)

Hi I know what you mean, it has been a long hard winter here in the South, bit of a shock, I can tell you....took my vest off!! that's what did it,
so have put it back on again, have pottered around this week had a few showers, but still so cold and forcast frosts until Wednesday would you believe it?
Still it can only get better.....cant it?

Hi Dottydaisy - the annoying thing is that it was so mild the previous week that all the spring bulbs and alpines are in flower and being battered to pieces! Yes it WILL get better.

Sorry that my sunny maps on GoY of UK and Canada are not producing the right results....

Really chilly in England this week. Biting cold winds. :o(
