absent for a while

sorry folks not been round for a while.Been working and doing holiday cover!
I Missed being out and about the garden.
The weather has been really bad as i’m sure most of the country has had wet and windy weather.
Most of the time it has been a quick run round a look at the pots and trying to keep of the grass!
Deadhead a few flowers and trying to drain off the pots! ( Normally fed up watering them) (we’re never happy!!)
My hydrangeas are sorry looking and have really taken a battering.
I went bulb shopping the other day to try and get some enthusiasm back.
Picked up a few bargains on the way but they are still unplanted. Feel as if we are in winter just now so looking up some gardening books and seed catalogues!
Feeing a bit down because I was using the garden as a scape goat to help me come to terms with the sudden death this year of my youngest son (aged 28).
I found some relief in the hard graft of the garden and also some joy in the planting of many plants people brought me, so as you can imagine I’m feeling really “let down” by the weather.
Looking out today from the conservatory with my dogs, Amber & Tiko at another wet and cold day I long for a wee bit of sunshine to brighten my day.
I’m sure we would all enjoy that!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I can't think of anything worse than to lose a child, whatever their age.
I wish you a lot of sunshine in your life, not just a wee bit.

Thanks for comments. I do try to keep busy and I did try to keep comments of only "Gardening" here but as you will know he is never far from my mind and I was feeling very vulnerable today and feeling the loss very much. So sorry for being a misery and thanks again for sharing with me. No reason Sanbaz a sudden death, inconclusive etc etc. I only cope with God's grace and my extended family. I have been a widow for a number of years as my husband was only 41 when he died. But this is very different losing my son. My husband had been ill for 2 years with cancer. After his death I had the kids to worry about ( aged 10, 15 & 18) This time my grandkids are really helping me.

This is so sad Marydoll, first you husband and now your son.....this is an unimaginable loss and even worse to have no reason given. My heart goes out to you, there can be nothing worse than losing a child and I do hope the sun will shine and allow some solace for you in the garden with Amber and Tiko. Thinking of you x
