They day has come for Big Ben and friends

Did you drown your sorrows or was the wine to celebrate a pepper well grown and for cutting down on the air miles to bring him in all nice and fresh. Lol. My kids would not eat eggs from our hens and when I killed and cooked the cockerel which had gone feral and started killing the hens they were disgusted that I could as my 8 year old son said "eat one of our relatives." They were more trouble than they were worth so a friend accepted them as part of her flock. We need to eat what we grow and you cannot say you do not like something until you try it in our house.

Acutually, Joan, I've never come across varieties of peppers or chillis with girls' names, lol!! Big Ben, Bellboy, Joes Long, etc. I agree, there should be Mrs peppers. :-))

Big Ben is gone now, I would like to thank ye for all your comments on Big Ben but I don't think (Mrs) Ben will forgive me!!!!!
