Finally back home for the summer…. I have an epic four months off, or something rediculous like that!
Since I’ve been away though the garden has exploded and everything seems to have grown at least a foot! I’m on my dad’s computer now, as I haven’t unpacked/set up my laptop yet, so won’t upload photos till this evening… but I have taken some.

We have our first rose in the hedge out, and I’ve just caught the end of my poppies thankfully!!! :) :) I was so sad that I might miss them. OOH Mygosh. Just got the shock of my life as the postman stuck the mail through!!

ahem urm, ….. yes, flowers… lots of stuff flowering, which is nice :) Mum was originally sending me pictures, but her camera finally kicked the bucket, so it was a lovely suprise to come home last night and see an actual flower garden… even if it is still a little scruffy in places, and lacking a lawn :P All the same, (hopefully) an improvement of the weeds/nothing that was there before :)

Anyway, I have to dash… was hoping to spend some time looking through all the notifications I’ve missed these past few days… but will hopefully nip on later. Unpacking the car made the world spin a little… so was going to veg out here for a bit till things got better… but guess its off to the greenhouse instead! Also for those who don’t know.. next friday Alan Titchmarsh is starting an 8-part gardening series on ITV, half an hour before gardeners’ world (I think). So if anyones interested…. We’re not big MD fans in this house, even if we still watch GW anyway… but looking forward to this :) AT seems a lot more accessible and less snooty than MD, and I’ve enjoyed watching his chelsea coverage between revision (generally while eating… ‘oooh! its supper time… can’t possibly revise….’ Sorry if this is all a bit all over the place, but I’m having to scurry off or fear the father-wrath (hes lovely really… who else could somehow slot all my stuff into a car so it could fit? Fathers are magical people!). I hope you’re all having a lovely time gardening, and that the nice weather holds for the weekend (but doesn’t get too hot!!) Get your sun cream out and take care!!

Haha, I'm sorry! I've been putting it off trying to get through the backlog of notifications of things I'd commented on... and then all the updates of what other people have been posting! I only left it for a week and now I can't seem to catch up again :P

Jenny, I'm trying my best to catch up too but it's proving almost impossible...so can empathise with you!

You'll have lots of days to get out in the garden and you'll have it looking wonderful in no time. Glad you got to see some of your poppies :)

Take it easy in the transition between study and being back at home....unpacking after having just packed all your gear up at uni is a big chore. Hope you can get it sorted without too much stress.

Cold and showers is our forecast for Merseyside from tomorrow and into the weekend...good for our new turf; not so good for workikng outside if the rain gets heavy. We shall see what comes...it still appears there will be little rainfall in the south where they are desperate for some.

Yeah, I hadn't realised quite how much of a problem there has been down south :/ Hopefully ours will stay alright :) I must confess that I haven't done any unpacking at all yet :S Just took everything out of the car and dumped it. Its gonna be a funnnnn job *cries* I think I need to do a big clear out of my room before I can hope to fit any of it in :P

Hope you catch up with everything... I'm still trying to! And I hope your new garden is settling well :):)
