I found these moving purple patches on my raised bed in the polytunnel. On closer inspection they seem to be jumping! i dont know what it is or what to do! can anyone help a damsel in distress?

i was feeling brave and returned to the mystery blob and to my surprise found little purple flies in it's place i squashed one and yep you guessed purple blood! im still alive to tell the tale!! There are more purple blobs popping up so im thinking eggs are hatching little wriggly things appearing and then turning into tiny flies!! still none the wiser tho! If we can't work it out we'll have to name it ourselves suggestions welcome!!
