Beautiful Eirlys....I love Acers but mine suddenly shed all of its leaves overnight Saturday!! Very starnge to do it so suddenly and when the temperatures have been so mild!!

Hello Eirlys - yes I love acers too - but I must admit when the leaves fall off they seem twice as many as they were on the tree - if that makes sense - Jane

I'm sure the new forest will be spectacular at this time of year.we visited in the summer a few years ago (stayed in Burley) but, the Autumn brings fantastic colours!

PaulsPatch and Jane: Yes, our Acers have suddenly shed all their leaves. Not the ones portrayed but the ones in the "bed", where all the pots are gathered together.
Must check the New forest website where they usually advise one of the best time to view the colours. This time I'll check my camera charger and the fact that the card is in the camera !!

Steragram and Wildrose: The Begonias have done well again. Some are the ones we bought on the Shopping Channel. The double wall idea was mine and we can just place pots on the top now we have solved the problem of weeding there. I liked the hyacinths and daffs we used to have there but we had to dig up the bulbs! That's no longer a chore.
