Really like the way the A Blanda has spread! I'd like some blues for moderate shade, have these all been flowering recently?

I spotted my first flowering blue anemone today Dawn. I don,t have chionodoxa, but I do have scilla and I also have hepatica at the moment. Lovely to see a few blues isn’t it!

Oh Dawn its a good thing I live a long way from you or I'd be after those anemones - mine have got fewer rather than spreading and they are a real springtime favourite. Breathtaking

Wow! success, and the joy of spring!

Darren, all in flower today, I planted about 50 anemone blanda bulbs about 7 years ago and they’ve spread so well, under deciduous shrubs and trees.

Karen, I like blue in spring, no flowers on my hepatica yet.
Stera, thank you. They don’t have any care, the bulbs came from j Parker’s and have just spread.
I wish the wood anemone spread as well, they don’t seem to at all.

The blue shades are wonderful. Yes I will be planting some.🌷🌷🌷🌷

Oh, to have the space to have a sea of blue! I find the silver leafed Pulmonaria doesn't get downy mildew unlike the spotted ones when the weather gets hot.

15 Mar, 2019

Funnily enough Sue, we don’t have so much of a problem with the mildew here!

Siris, that's good to know, yes my others get mildew as the season progresses.

Lovely blues Dawn, I especially love those A. Blanca which luckily have spread for me.

Darren - one of the best blues for shade is Pulmonaria ‘blue ensign’ ... really zingy!

Thanks Sheila, I'll have a read up on them

Agree Blue Ensign is lovely - I saw it planted with Narcissus Jack Frost and they looked great together. Just found White Lady and that would be even better!

How wonderful. I have a small patch of blue Anemones. It is increasing in size but this is beautiful.
