I was watching GM/TV this morning and they reckon we are going to have a early spring, and quite a good summer, i know they might be wrong as its to far ahead, but i really hope they are right, for once, we will all enjoy getting out in the garden, i love the summer evenings when you can just potter about dead heading, glass of wine on the patio i could go on for ages.

Lets hope it is a better summer after the last two. Everytime I wanted to do some gardening it was terrible weather. Luckily I could sow seeds in my kitchen or I wouldn't have had any new plants.

Let's hope for a good Summer. There is nothing better than a beautiful summer's day, followed by a balmy evening, wonderful. Fingers crossed then! The last two Summers have been nothing short of depressing.

I hope we get a warm spring and pleasant summer - just pleasant would be great. It would be a very good change. Last 2 yrs were too wet. The one before that was too hot.
I want nice weather for a change.

Agree with Hywel...weather much too extreme latest couple of years.Are we losing the seasons ? sometimes feels that way.

Well I have had that feeling since December, that is why I ended up weeding for 2 hours last week. It was so mild. But we can never tell with our unpredictable weather.

It would not hurt me to loose winter season all 8 months of it. If we get an early spring I would be surprised. I'm under over a foot of snow flakes and -27c over night. Please take me away!

Oh poor PF. We have a thaw on the way in the next few days!! Yipee. Except I know that it won't last and there will be weeks yet of cold snowy weather. I would like a longer spring and not as much summer. Much too hot in the summer for me.

Gilli break a sweat I love summer here anyways. Maybe it is because we get a very arid heat. It makes it much more pleasant than the humidity you have where there is a lot of precipitation or large bodies of water. Where I grew up it was unbearable in the summer months for that reason.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed for better weather this year Clarice.There was only one evening last year when we were able to enjoy the garden with a meal outside.A glass of wine and a good meal.... yum yum!
