Complete novice at anything to do with gardening/growing veg/ etc so need lots of advice.Recently moved to smallholding with 3/4 acre garden and 5 acre paddock.Garden at present small orchard at front.and large lawn area behind house with high hedges and conifers(some which will need felling) have dug small veg patch,broad beans in already,Have lean/to conservatory acting as green house .Have onions waiting to go in and have started planting inside herbs.Hope to get good composte going as we have stables also and have plentiful well rotted manure.Have Manx sheep at present grazing the paddock as have let it rest,and sheep fertilising it well.Plan to have chickens in the spring.Horses also..Now have small tractor also.Fortunately next door neighbour is farmer so good source of help and advice to us.Any tips and advice particuarly regarding growing veg will be welcome!
