Thank you for taking us to The Malvern Show. Somewhere I am never likely to visit.

Sheila, it is a good show for those who like less formality. I thought there were fewer nurseries selling this year but the Floral Marquee was still impressive.
I didn't buy much (no room, realistically) just 2 hostas, a cactus I have been looking for, and the shrubby honeysuckle 'Strawberries and Cream'. Lots of notes on plants I would like to own sometime, though!
The flower dispalys were technicolour, Ff!

Thanks Ange, lovely blog!!! I can live vicariously through you now!!!! 😊
Such colour and vibrancy!!!! As you say, all in technicolour!
Your purchases are very well chosen. I'm interested to know more about your shrubby honeysuckle.

Yes always a special show - we went yesterday - but hey the traffic was pretty grim we were queueing ages to get in and similarly this happened on the way out - I replaced some of my pelargoniums which were taken by the frost earlier on and picked up a leaflet from Potash Nursery to order on line - we admired Dibleys display which gave them a gold - and planned to visit their nurseries - pretty much on our doorstep - well worth a visit

Glad you like, Kate.
I thought there were a few cacti and aeonium-lovers on this site, Paul!
Jane, I was trying to be positive with these colourful photos as I find myself prone to moaning this year, what with the weather, the politics (yawn, yawn) but I will permit myself to agree with you and say a journey that should have taken us about an hour and 10 minutes was 2 and a half each way. The traffic lights were endless and the queue to get in took a while because of them. Glad you found some nurseries to visit.

Ange, I am pleased you got to the show, despite the long journey! Your photos are lovely. I just watched Gardeners World from last night and thought the show looked wonderful. We did go one year and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ange, OH wondered how long ago our visit to Malvern was, I have found it was in May 2015 and I have just looked back on the blog I posted. It's on page nine of my blogs, should you wish to take a look! I am surprised at how many GoY members from that time seem to have stopped participating on this site.

Shirley, I was gobsmacked by how many responses you used to get those few years ago: 30 - 50 not unusal. It seems such a shame that the numbers have dwindled so very much. We do seem to hear from the same few voices now and I think it would be lovely to have that variety of responses to our blogs., photos and comments.

Well, I guess some folk delete their account for whatever reason, others have stopped commenting but still pop up now and then. Growsonyou has always been my only gardening site, stumbled across it accidentally back in 2010 when I searched for a plant variety and the rest is history!
I have exchanged plants and seeds with members and actually met a few in person. Happy days!

Ange, thanks for sharing your lovely photos. It's a great show, isn't it? We went a few years ago (stayed overnight) and loved the spaciousness and being able to walk into the show gardens.
Name -dropping now ... we saw Rachel de Thame learning her lines, Joe Swift doing the same shot with a train over and over, and Carol Kline trying to persuade an American woman to get out of shot! Happy memory ...
The important bit - WHAT DID YOU BUY?!
