Sitting under my laburnum tree

I am sitting under my laburnum tree listening to the seed pods popping open in the sun. It took me a while to figure out but am pretty sure that’s what it is….It is a beautiful day, completely the opposite from yesterday! Enjoy!

I like the sound of seed pods popping :) Sometimes I hear the pods of gorse bushes popping when I am up in the hills. It belongs to the same family as Laburnum.

It's been a nice day here too - warm and sunny. I'm pleased to hear you've had an enjoyable time :)

Sounds very relaxing-its good to find time just to sit and enjoy the garden. Interesting to know laburnum and gorse are related Hywel. You can see the similarity right away when its pointed out!

It's the same family as Lupins, Kidney Beans, etc
When I was in school (in the 60s) the family was called Papilionaceae, then they changed it to Leguminosae, now it's called Fabaceae. How confusing ! :D

Never mind the name. It must have been very relaxing there in the sunshne :)

It was nice yesterday wasn't it, more so after all that rain we had Saturday. The dogs got soaked on their walk Saturday. It must have been so nice to sit under your tree and listen to your garden. :-)
