Where in Shropshire are you holding your charity plant sale please Amsterdam

I’m in North Shropshire, 7 miles north west of Shrewsbury, in Baschurch.

My, such a lovely choice of plants to buy! If I lived closer I would definitely visit ... good luck with your sale tomorrow.

I hope it was a great success.

We raised just over £500 and still got donations trickling in…. I had donations coming in until 10 pm last night! Left over plants are going to local agricultural college to plant up their borders and left over sunflowers are going to local primary school. It has been a great success and I managed to show my garden to a few keen gardeners as well. Lovely to share love of gardening. Will have a year off next year and have convinced some other keen gardeners to open their garden to create a ‘Garden trail’. Watch this space …. But for now will put my feet up as am knackered!!

that is an excellent total Amsterdam. I just live too far from you sadly.

Final amount is now close to £600- £589 in fact! Next year we’re thinking of doing a Baschurch Garden trail where each garden can sell their own plants. Must admit it is exhausting trying to get everyone’s donations sorted & labelled! I had donations as late as 10 pm the night before!!

Well done for raising that amount. Ams, our village have an annual festival lasting for a week with 'Open Gardens and Art Trail' as a two day event. This year it was from 12-4pm and each garden/art sale chose a charity of their preferred choice to give their funds to.

A great amount to have raised. Well done. Have a well deserved rest now. :-)

Yes it would have been nice to have you all come over and have a peruse through all the plants. I must admit one of the perks of organising it is you get to pick some plants that you’d like to grow in your garden….
