Bluespruce this is all your fault............ lol

Having looked at Bluespruce’s beautiful Conifer and heather garden, it made me yearn to grow a few more conifers, we have three in the front garden which do very well, but, living by the sea we are limited as to what we can grow…..
When we lived in the Midlands we had a fantastic selection of Conifers and heathers ( could not match Bluespruce though) we were great fans of Alan Bloom in those days, still are…..so, as we had a few vouchers and a few pennies to spend!!!
Could not find the conifer, Pinus M Mop, will try Ashwood Nurseries in the spring, good excuse to visit John again.
So this is what we came away with, the heathers were a bargain at ยฃ8.99 for six, dont you think?

Could not resist four for ten pounds.

I do not know this Euphorbia Efanthia……

Have not grown this Convolvulus for well over ten years.

This is a new one for me Santolina Lemon Fizz.

Had to pick another Leucothoe Not had Scarletta before.

In spite of the frost covering this plant, the colour shone through.
Came home a few pounds lighter, but happier, hubby also found some thermal gloves, so he was a happy bunny too.

Thanks Dotty, Hope you enjoy your next trip to Ashwood Nurseries, I'm sure you will find what you're looking for there. I understand they stock a wide range of the more unusual conifers. You may also try Jon Tate at Lime Cross Nursery, he also has a very interesting range of conifers, if you don't mind mail order :0)
