In trouble again!

I thought I had rescued an unloved house plant today.
Wrong…………..

It was an 8 foot tall ‘yaker’ been in the same pot all the while I’ve worked at St. Algustines- 2 years now. With one of the girls watering it sometimes!

Its got new growth at the bottom and 3 very spindly growths at the top.

So it got the treatment.
Top was cut off
Bottom was cut off, about 12 inches from the base.
Base was planted at the feet of the white lady.
One of the spindly tops was re-potted.
3 foot of the stem was used as a plant support for an clematis looking a bit sickly.
And boy was I told off!

You’ve killed it, Its an indoor plant, not meant to be outside. I was even told its Latin name. Tom, the decorator was nearly in tears, and Sue on reception gave me a right telling off, so much so I went out and bought a new one!

They didn’t believe I had one in my garden. Not telling them it looks really moth eaten though!

Its defiantly a caring bunch I work with……………
Sticking to the outside next time
Sandy.

I hope you prove them wrong. They should have been more grateful I think . Well none of them even tried did they ?

Glad yours is outside too!
Gave tom the replacement on his birthday, and got a kiss for my trouble. must be forgiven.

I'm hoping that the stem that I'm using as a plant stake sprouts so I can blow them all a raspberry!

A friend of mine was doing a house clearance one day ,there was a large flower pot with a scragy plant in it,the pot is great still using it now, its to heavy to move, I removed most old plant bits from it put more plants in it wiv more soil, weeks later a big yucca grew, I had it for years the frost killed it of, took out old trunk propped a plant up with it, then noticed 3 yucca shoots, Goodluck with it 8~))
