Hi Guys and Girlies,
What a beautifull sunny weekend its been, so myself and Baz made the most of it.
No not gardening but getting out and about, a bit of walking to make us feel better and enjoying the lovely weather.
Yesterday we had Baz`s granson Deacon 8months old, went for a walk along the prom and stanley park near us in blackpool, we had a great day and will be having him monday to as the other two grankids are with there grannny at her caravan in morecombe so we decided to spend time with Deacon and give mum and dad a break.
Anyway today just myself and Baz, we went to whalley abbey near clitheroe, its a beautifull village and the ruins of the abbey and lovely house where now they do weddings etc, we could only do the grounds today as there was a wedding due to arrive while we were there.
The woodlands and along the river were covered in wild garlic the scent was amazing , thats if you love the smell of garlic which i do, infact thats all you could smell even in the car around whalley village.
So we walked around the ruins and lovely gardens which are kept very neat and tidy and sat there and ate our lunch, it was so hot and sunny and the silence was , well just so peacefull.
I wish i had taken a trowel lol to get some wild garlic, im sure they wouldnt have missed any, thousands of them all over the grass virges and borders and woodlands.
So here is a few photosi took while there to show you, we will defernatly go walking around there again

I hope we get to see inside the house next time where they do the weddings and think you can stay there to, even the tea rooms where closed today due to the wedding but still enjoyed the grounds and ruins.
Hope you have enjoyed your weekend to, thanx for looking :o)))

What a great photo of you San! You look really well and so healthy and fit! Lovely to see!

I have very fond memories of Clitheroe, as I had a good friend from there many years ago, and he was one of those friends who'd let you stay with his parents and introduce you to real Ales, and take you to see Canal locks etc...ah, good times! I haven't been to this abbey, but it's beautiful..what a lovely p,ace for a walk!

Hi Dee its not easy when our men dont like gardening and open gardens, but if its an old ruin or house, or castle Baz isnt to bad cause he quite likes looking at old buildings, so we both get something we like, dont normally like my pic being taken but this one isnt to bad, not close enough to see the lines or double chin haha
