At the moment the pink standard fuchsia I bought last year, which is planted in a patio pot, looks dead. Please tell me if it will start to sprout again or could it have gone forever? Also, excatly the same scenario with my white standard daisy plant.

If you left these plants outside all winter in pots, they will most likely not have survived the winter.

you may find they regrow from the base, so shrubs now not standards. But they may also have died. I would wait for at least 4 weeks before turfing them out, just to be on the safe side.
