What are Whin bushes please? How big are they and how many of them? Also, what is there growing near them? Sorry about all the questions, it all helps to be able to give you a sensible and practical answer.

I'll look them up and see what my RHS book says. Can you answer the other questions, too, please?

Whin is another name for gorse (Ulex europaeus), so I guess that it would be a pest as it is so prickly.

If they are Gorse bushes, you would have a job digging them out unless you wore armour lol, so I suppose Glyphosate is the answer. That kills anything. Look for a spray with it in. Be careful, as the spray drifting onto other plants will kill then too.
