Sweet Peas

Asked on 5 Jun, 2008

Can I plant a few home grown sweet peas I have left over up our apple tree. The tree has only been in the garden for 1 year and is about 6'6" tall. Would it encourage beneficial insects or will it ust harm the young tree? It was labeled as Golden Delicious but we're not sure it is because the 2 apples we had last year were darker, redder and not particularly sweet. I have a photo in my album if you want to see the apples from last year. Thanks.

Sweet peas don't harm anything! Go for it - you are a bit late getting them in but they should still flower.

Thanks Spritzhenry, they are about 6 plants still stuck in the cell thingies I grew them in. They look healthy so I'll give them a try. Thanks.
