Lonicera japonica berries

Janey

By Janey

Lonicera japonica berries (Lonicera japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle))

This Honeysuckle belongs over the wall next door, yet likes to spend it's time hanging around in my garden....:o) The scent of the small and dainty flowers is heavenly for us in the summer, and in the Autumn, these coal black berries are a treat for the birds.

Lol...they do look like Blackcurrants don't they???

You did well with your blackcurrant bush, Sticki.....have you any tips for me? I planted one and a Redcurrant a couple of years ago, but there's only been a handful of berries on each.
They're probably not in the best spot, though, I might have to plant them amongst the flowers where there's most sun.
