I agree. Every stage of this tree's life cycle is very interesting.

Terratoonie:

It is an incredible tree! I hope this year I can start the seeds I have of this tree.
I'd love to have some trees...to sell or to give away this summer.

Oh, baby Sausage Trees....
can't wait for the pics... :o)

Terratoonie:

In the next couple of weeks, I'll be starting the seeds. I put them in my unheated greenhouse...where they get the extra heat they need to germinate. I'll post the pics as soon as they start sprouting. : > )

Terratoonie:

I've read on the internet it takes 2 - 4 weeks for the Sausage tree seeds to germinate. I think I'm going to start some today.

Have you photographed the seeds themselves ?

Terratoonie:

No I haven't....they're small black seeds. Do you want to see a pic of the seeds to post on GoYpedia?

4 Mar, 2010

Yes, please... a photo of the seeds would be good for GoYpedia, and then we can follow through with pics of your planting, and pics of the seedlings, and then photos of the HUGE TREES which appear...Lol.
