Marguerite and Delonix1 ~
If you upload any more Sausage Tree photos, please let me know so that I don't miss them. Thanks.

Yes, this tree can grow large. The largest tree I have ever seen is just a mile from where I live at San Diego State University. I have never taken a picture of this tree though. I guess I should do this soon.

I have seen a huge one of these in our Botanical garden. The pods really look like sausages.

No, I think it may be trimmed this way.

I have never seen one of these. Is it always somewhat flat on the top?

Delonix1 ~ You do very well with uploading pictures.
It takes me ages!
I'll look forward to more photos when you have time.
Maybe if you put a message on one of these where I've made a comment then I'll not miss the new pics. Thanks.

These flowers are unusual. The whole tree is unusual!

Yes, I can see that this is a more established sausage tree.
Amazing.

Terratoonie, I have better pictures of this tree I will post in the future. I have taken thousands of pictures of plants and trees in San Diego it is difficult to find certain ones. Sorry!

Yes, of course it does. I wonder what the african's common name is though. Perhaps they don't have sausages?

Does it get it's name from the shape of the flowers or the fruit?
