MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmm sweet peas they smell so GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOooooooooooooooooooooood&this is such a Gorgeous colour :)

Thanks Jacque! it's my favourite one - seeds given by a friend. Some of the other flowers are pretty but wishy-washy colours. I bought a packet of seeds for fragrance this time. Next time I shall buy TWO packets, one for fragrant flowers and one for darker colours!

Lucky you, I love to smell sweetpeas and mine haven't even got a flower on yet :-( Other plants are overshadowing them now so I suppose they're in need of sunshine...a bit like me lol

Ohh, I just love sweet pea. Lathirus isn't it? And that colour, so devine. They really make a lovely bouquet for a small vase. My mother loves them too.

Forgot to check the seed packet when I planted them but I would bet they are Lathirus...They smell so wonderful..

I love sweet peas - and their fragrance. This is a beautiful colour. Most of mine have been white or pale this year. I will have to buy packets of specific colours for next year, I think. not just 'mixed'!.

My sweet peas as you can see by my pics turned out to be one color not mixed like I had thought. I am very glad tho as I really like the one color for a change!

Members' notes...
They surprised us in 2007 by self seeding and surviving the winter. Flowered very early and then died off in the heat.
6th March 2008. I soaked seeds from last year and sowed them outside today. I put them alonside fence in side garden, and the same starting at top of pond area and going about halfway down lower garden, I also put a few near middle pergola where there is no rose, and at bottom of dead cherry tree.

bought from T & M summer 2007 - planted mid march 2008
pinky red blush
planted all along the back of trellis and on fence along washing line area. (the seed were soaked overnight)
bought from ebay, planted along the left hand bed in front of trellis bed against fence. white flowers flushed bright to pale blue. (soaked over night) mid march 2008
bought from T & M planted direct into garden mid march.
all alonge spare trellis space on right hand and woodland bed - have some left over.
bought from T & M sown direct into garden mid march 2008 - lovely lilac and burgandy red blush.
