Yeah a real classic film one of Mel Gibsons best I think. That Castle is gorgeous on par with Blarney I would say.

true Bob. this castle is slightly bigger than Blarney. Trim castle is the largest castle in Ireland

15 Jun, 2009

Yeah it looks a lot bigger too, I know it went narrower the further up it went at Blarney, nearly got stuck with me big bum :o)))

I am so glad I do not live in those days, too violent & women...shish!!!man, No say, just objects. Nice to visit now though.

i know what you mean Doon but i sometime wonder have things changes at all

22 Jun, 2009

Yes, I know, BUT we have some "rights" now, Lol!!!!!Those days they were hanged growing herbs etc. etc, as witches etc. It would have been fab to have been a lovely "lady" though, not for me thanks, I would have been hanged by age 12.Lol!!!
A nice place to visit now & know that wonderful rich history.

24 Jun, 2009

lol Doon, i think most of us on here would have been hanged just for the type of herbs we grow

24 Jun, 2009
