Morning to you ..its a glorious day here so out in garden asap there are a few birds it could be Eileen but I think that is a little tuft on his / her head so my best guess would be a Skylark.

If out near these fields again and you hear see a bird singing high in the sky whilst fluttering its wings then drop quickly down into the field thats a Skylark.

Hope the weather holding off for you both .Will try and catch up with photos later as this sun too good to miss ! x

Nope - raining here... I have been out in it and taken Henry for his W.A.L.K...(just in case he's watching!) but have given up for the time being to dry out and hope it improves! :-(

Beautiful here in Mossley too, clouded over around teatime, Yes I agree with BB its a skylark, quite a common sight this time of the year on the moors near home.

Looks like a skylark to me they usually make a nest in a hollow on the ground in the long grasses. It has a slight crest on it's head. The eggs are off white or pale green in colour speckled with brown or olive. The Skylark will rise up high and sing on the way down again. The fledglings fly at about three weeks old. Knew some of this but looked up about the eggs and fledglings. Hope this helps.
