I love how you captured the puffy clouds in the reflection. You live next to this? How fortunate. I think I'd have to get in a rowboat with my camera and just drift. I'd imagine you see a lot of wildlife here. Dragonflies are a favorite insect of mine. Frogs and turtles too.

Ever the naturalist diohio! I think she's onto something flrcrazy! would you be subject to censure if you planted pickerel weed or put in some nymphaea? My dad used to make anchored platforms for half barrels that held the waterplants looked like a tictactoe crosshatch. He used the ice in winter to position the platforms, they would sink when the ice melted to a depth of about 24 inches below the surface the waterplants in their pots were added last...the hard part was lifting the platforms in the fall..I don't remember how he did that.. but I'm sure you could figure out a plan. ok ..'nuf said' lol. Oh maybe not...I have a book that has a diag. of a turtle basking platform.

I'd have to sak the man who owns the rights to the dam if it would be okay, if these spread I'm sure the answer is no...lol. As far as the turtle platforms goes, there are alot of fallen trees long the banks and they are covered with sunning turtles..! The females come up into the yard every year and lay their eggs, It's really cool to watch.
