This is wonderful and again I'm reminded about how I would like to add a pond in my back yard.

Love your pond design with the extended bridge. Perfect place to sit and feed the fish...!

You have a 'magical place' place, Lori. Does that splash of blue give you ideas? ;) I'd be tempted, and it wouldn't be the first time that a bright splash of plastic or a bright coat left on the ground has set me thinking about colour combos.

Hi Wellies! love your handle...lol
The blue element (my pond filtre aside) is in the foreground and to the left. I have Echinops ritro and Delphiniums with Asiatic Lillies, for a pink'n'blue combo...but didn't time it right...the delphs came up and bloomed before the Echinops and Lillies had a chance to start... mea culpa. To the left and nearest the fence and trellis is a blue Lobelia...(a native prairie plant) I have a pic on my page..it has the most lovely sky blue flowers...In fact, my passion is blue flowers...I'm waiting patiently for the true blue rose...lol. That's just a joke, because I don't care for overly hybridized stuff usually. The Lobelia is a wild flower in parts of the American central plains area of N.A. and the plant that I have resembles salvias... In the picture post the lobelia is just about finished...all the blossom is on the top part of the stock...but when they are fully abloom they are outstanding.

Oh yes...I have seen pictures of it growing in a garden in Ottawa which is north of me 96 km. I also have one in my garden but Mandy lay down on it. It was a little crushed and now it has all this snow on it...hope it is alive under the snow... I prefer the blue of the lobelia...and want to acquire a lobelia cardinalis.
