Lovely pic. I drove past Hanningfield today but too wet to go looking at widlife. So we took the softies option and stopped at a Garden Centre on the old A130 and had a coffee and cake instead!!!

Very wise move Paulthegard. I think Thursday / Friday will be better for outdoor activities. Too wet at the moment, even for ducks.

Yes particularly in our part of Essex Toto, just down the road from you (in Corringham). I went to canvey island today(someones got to!) and there were so many side roads underwater, cars were having to turn round, it was chaos.

When going to Canvey Island (somebody's got to) go a little further to Old Leigh and visit Two Tree Island. It is a little desolate but the birds are fabulous. Well worth the visit. Take your binoculars.
